    New site running slow

    Hi,

I recently created a new site UtahFirearms.com using the newest Classipress. After creating the site I find that it loads extremely slow even without any plugins, widgets etc.

I ran the test at GoogePageSpeed and get the following issues:

    Speed
    Should Fix:
Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content
Your page has 15 blocking script resources and 4 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page.
None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML.

    Remove render-blocking JavaScript:
    http://utahfirearms.com/…cludes/js/c...n.js?ver=3.8.1
    http://utahfirearms.com/…-includes/j....js?ver=1.10.2
    http://utahfirearms.com/…s/jquery/jq...n.js?ver=1.2.1
    http://utahfirearms.com/…lidate/jque....js?ver=1.11.1
    http://utahfirearms.com/…uery/ui/jqu....js?ver=1.10.3
    http://utahfirearms.com/…ry/ui/jquer....js?ver=1.10.3
    http://utahfirearms.com/…ery/ui/jque....js?ver=1.10.3
    http://utahfirearms.com/…ry/ui/jquer....js?ver=1.10.3
    http://utahfirearms.com/…ss/includes...nav.js?ver=1.1
    http://utahfirearms.com/…table/jquer...js?ver=2.0.1.2
    http://utahfirearms.com/…lassipress/...ing.js?ver=1.3
    http://utahfirearms.com/…cludes/js/j...n.js?ver=1.8.3
    http://utahfirearms.com/…ess/include...pts.js?ver=3.3
    http://utahfirearms.com/…lorbox/jque....js?ver=1.4.33
    http://www.anrdoezrs.net/…-63wx9ISOP...nk&mouseover=Y
Optimize CSS Delivery of the following:
    http://utahfirearms.com/…t/themes/cl....css?ver=3.8.1
    http://utahfirearms.com/…mes/classip....css?ver=3.8.1
    http://utahfirearms.com/…work/js/col...css?ver=1.4.33
    http://utahfirearms.com/…tyles/jquer...css?ver=1.10.3

    Minify JavaScript
Compacting JavaScript code can save many bytes of data and speed up downloading, parsing, and execution time.
Minify JavaScript for the following resources to reduce their size by 1.5KiB (32% reduction).
Minifying http://utahfirearms.com/…ess/include...pts.js?ver=3.3 could save 1.5KiB (32% reduction) after compression.
    Hide details

What does this recommendation mean? My site is running extremely slow and can't seem to get it going properly. Even Google flagged it in my webmaster tools.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Nick
