Updating to version 4.2.0 causes mass email sending

Hi,

Updating to version 4.2.0 caused mass email sending to the site users notifying them their ads have expired. I restored my site from backup and went back to version 4.1.6 because the login link was gone and few days later I updated Classipress again to version 4.2.0 and the same issue happened.

Emails sending started right after the update was completed, it cannot be a coincidence. My hosting company limited email sending on my email account because of spamming. I explained them it’s a theme issue. I have another site to update and I’m not willing to be tagged as a spammer. I don’t know if the issue happens only once or it can reoccur anytime. Could you please check what is happening?
