    Upgrading to Version 4 with a child theme question

    I have a basic child theme (not one purchased from the marketplace). Should I activate the version 4 theme and then create a new basic child theme and then activate the new basic child theme?

    Do I then implement the upgrades in the instructions? Thanks in advance.
