WP-Admin gives 500 after theme activation

Hello all,

Installed the classipress theme and upon activation /wp-admin servers a 500 error.

Used the theme uploaded to install the .zip file
says installed correctly but the back-end disappears, the front end is still functional and visible.

The word press install is vanilla. new install with zero configurations configured within.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
