Upgrading to Jobroller 1.7.0 - Step-by-Step Instructions

I have Job Roller 1.6.5 installed and want to upgrade to 1.7.0 so my radius search works. Can someone provide step-by-step instructions for this. I have tried to upload the 1.7.0 zip folder, but it says this:

Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
Destination folder already exists. /home/nocojo5/public_html/coloradojobbase.com/wp-content/themes/jobroller/
Theme install failed.

Do I change the name of the existing /jobroller destination folder to something else first and then try the upload again? Will all of my settings and data be preserved?
