    Exporting data from main website to staging website

    Hi,

    I created a staging website as subdomain (http://staging.mydomain.com) to carry out testing different mods and plugins before changing my main website (http://mydomain.com). I uploaded Vantage theme to subdomain and its running fine.

    I like to populate this website with same contents as my main website, so that I can avoid creating categories, sample posts, tags, pages, etc again. I thought of exporting and then importing the contents. When I do export from my main website (Tools -> Export), it creates the xml file. When I look into the contents of this xml file, I can see many references to my main website (for eg. listings URL, etc).

    My question is what is the recommended way to import this file to my staging website? Should I rename mydomain.com with staging.mydomain.com everywhere and then import? Or I can simply import it without any modifications?
