Need to use drop down menus instead of search field on home page

I saw some similar posts to this with no answer so perhaps Appthemes Vantage was not the right purchase for me. My site www.onemaninavan.com is really simple and there are only a few categories, one being plumbing. If someone wants a plumber, they will either type in "plumber" or "plumbing" or something like that. Rather than hoping they get it right, the only thing I want the user to see is a drop down list and make the selection. And then enter the location to get some results. I've worked several hours with different menu options and getting nowhere. Thanks!
