Permalinks and Logo Help

Hello,

I just purchased the Vantage and it's child theme Directory yesterday afternoon. I am trying to set it up. I went in as instructed and tried to change the permalinks to the custom one shown in instructions and then saved. It comes back telling me that it saved it, but when you scroll down the page to look, it is still set to post. I have tried this three times.

Also, with the header/logo image, I have uploaded our logo to the area of the Vantage/settings/header and it will not show up? Every time I preview, it still shows the Directory/Vantage Child Theme logo.

Please advise as to what I am doing wrong.
