Things appearing and disappearing. Losing my patience.

I am struggling with this. There are three things that are supposed to work, but then vanish.

(1) PDF Uploads
(2) Location Maps
(3) Claim the Profile

(1) I uploaded a PDF Menu as a test. I wanted to see what it looked like on the front end. It takes the filename (obviously) but now when I edit the profile from the front end, it appears for two seconds then disappears

(2) Location maps. I enter the address on a company listing, and a big blue box shows a map off the coast of Africa, called Sunset Chalet. WTF! I mean I've been editing this on and off, backend, front end, sometimes it appears, sometimes it doesn't appear. I've seen a so-called fix by commenting out a line of code, which Ive done for both events and listings, but it still is appearing and disappearing like a jack in the box.

(3) When I create a listing, I tick the 'profile is claimable' box. BUt when I view the front end listing, there is NO Claim This Profile button. I then visit the admin back office listing page, and what do you know, its UNTICKED.

I am pulling my hair out here.

I don't want to use a dev version. I've paid good money for this theme, and it's not ready to show my grandmother let alone actual businesses. Someone needs to give me proper support - e.g. give me a number to call. The problem is, if I upgrade or install the dev version, I am worried about losing my settings and hardwork to date. I am a relative novice, but it seems that there's a lot of bugs on this.
