    Possible to make primary/parent categories unselectable?

    I have about 80 (sub)categories on my site organised in to five primary/parent category groups.

    Is it possible to make the primary/parent categories unselectable when creating listings? I would like my users to just be able to select from the sub/secondary categories if possible.
