Adding a forum to my job board - PROs and CONs
Hi Jobrollers!
I am thinking about adding a forum to my job board. It is a niche job website and I am guessing that experts in this niche will enjoy participating in forum discussions. What are PROs and CONs of adding a forum in your perspective?
I see the following and please do not hesitate to correct me:
PRO:
+ More relevant content = More visitors and/or increased time spent on my site
+ Forum will create stickiness, i.e. visitors will come back if they have found an interesting discussion
+ More content = more organic traffic
CON:
- Forum could draw attention from visitors away from jobs towards forum
- Forum needs to be maintained
- Job listers could try to list jobs in forum and try to engage with candidates without paying for it
What is your opinion on this?
