Can you use thumbnails for categories and randomize the results?

I would like to make a business directory where the first page is just categories with thumbnails and titles. Then when you click on a category the results are rotated or randomized every time to avoid one vendor being at the top. Can Vantage or Classipress do this?

Our themes are not encrypted, so if you wanted to make modifications such as this to our themes then yes this is technically possible. There are no options within the admin dashboard which would allow you to configure it this way by way of settings, so customization would definitely be required. Thanks.

To make a page with links to each category and then code it to randomize the results? Is there a plugin that could do it? It's frustrating that most all of the business directories are without these key features.

There are no plugins specifically for this purpose currently available in the AppThemes marketplace, and ultimately how hard it would be is relative to your level of coding knowledge.
