Custom Theme Elements for Every Category

    Hi

We're looking to use Vantage for an online directory where each category (~100 in total) has a unique drop down box.

The drop down box will be called the same thing for each category with 1-30 elements in the selection box and I was wondering if there is an easy way of importing all of these as I have a spreadsheet.

There are around 600 selection box items in total... How would we best handle this?

Nice looking themes by the way!!

Vantage has a built in .csv importing tool for listings and events, but I'm not clear on where you want the dropdown box to be/what for? If you are referring to a dropdown box on the listing form, specific to the category, you can create custom forms within Vantage, however there is no bulk import option for these. You simply create the form and apply it to a category/categories. If you were looking to do this in bulk, then you'd likely need knowledge of mysql admin in order to create a script to run this from the database side. If that's not what you meant, please feel free to clarify. Thanks :)

    Hi Pepsi

Thanks for replying so quick! We are planning to use custom forms for this installation, but we seem to require a custom form for each of the 108 Sub Categories based on our DB/Data model.

Can I email or PM you offsite about exactly what we're trying to achieve if that's OK?

You are welcome to email us, however there are not really any other suggestions outside of what I mentioned above, and it's essentially outside of the scope of what we'd be able to support you with (in terms of the database side of things). We do have a certified partners page where you can find developers for hire if you're looking for someone to help carry out this work? Thanks.
