I have checked a post entry of mine with images and I could not find any custom field for images. And so I guess the post/ad images are not saved through a custom field.

No, they're not custom fields. The images are fully integrated with the WordPress media library, so you can find them under the "gallery" tab in the upload/insert image area.

is there a way to import images when importing data, I use 'easy csv importer' which imports the data fine but as the images are not custom fields I cannot map image url's to listings, so I get lots of data but no images.

    Any ideas?
