Regarding Update of Classipress

Hello Appthemes Guys,

I'm from India, I wanna start a classified ad business and I wanna purchase your Classipress theme since I think it'll be good fit for me. And I personally a php developer, so I wanna modify the layout a bit after purchasing it. But my question is what will happened after your update? As a Developer I know it all will go. How can I keep all layout changes intact after your theme update?

Or if your suggestion is "Do not update your theme", then any security problem in future?

If you're planning to make modifications to the default theme we recommend the use/creation of a child theme in order to preserve the changes you make in the process of an update. You can find related documentation here. Thanks.
