Ad Expires - Will it Disappear from the site?

When an ad has run the amount of time it is meant to be online. I gather it will expire.

But will it go offline ( i.e no longer viewable? ) I need it to go offline.. which should be standard i would imagine as what point would there be in having an ad appear online with the words Expired on it? People would get annoyed with that. I know I would if i found ads like that scattered all over kijiji

So can you tell me if it will go offline? and if not.. how can i make it go offline?

" Update I just noticed under settings it says that you have to prune the site of ads that are expired " this has got the be the dumbest thing I have seen.. Like seriously.. How hard is it to just have an ad go offline once its expired and just be listed inside the users dashboard where THEY can decide if they want to

A. Delete it
B. Relist it

Saves having to BANG the server with cron jobs just to remove what should of been removed automatically upon expiring ( who the hell wants to search through EXPIRED ads? )

Come on folks there has to be an easy way around this. I need it to go offline not sit on the site for everyone to view and get pissed off at. And I dont want to be dealing with cron jobs everyday when this should be an automatic part of the theme
