    "Best" permalink option

    Hi,

    I'm aware that this is a tricky/complex question. And, YES, I have read all the tutorials regarding wordpress permalink structure, in fact here are some notes before I formulate my question:

    - The latest wordpress version (a couple of months away) will greatly improve the speed and scalability of the permalink /%postname%/ , which is good news

    - Google News - not regular google - requires articles to contain a three-digit unique number in the permalink to be indexed. Therefore, in an effort to be included in as many searches as possible, it would be probably best to have both the postname and the post id in the permalink

    Having said all that, what is the best choice for speed, scalability (larger site) and SEO-benefits?

    I love to help out you out but please read this first Have you tried to install in a root domain? Have you tried to Resave permalinks? Have you tried to disable all plug in? Have you tried the default theme of Wordpress?
