Is this a bug or I'm wrong somewhere?

Is this a bug or I'm wrong somewhere.
When I want to see a registered user to click on his user name, the browser opens the link http://www.mydomain.comauthor/username/ As we can see missing the point behind the com extension. Can I fix or a general bug in the script? This is what happens when you click on the username in the published advertisement.
Please note that I tried to manually enter this point that is missing, but unfortunately, nothing positive has happened.
