custom field radio button

for refine search, we had chosen the type "radio button" for one custom field. It produced wrong results (like 15 estates instead of 17) in the search.
Changing it to field type "dropdown", it works.
Can you please check on that? It seems that the radio button does not work properly in refine search, but it is very strange and not really reasonable.
