How do I manually update view counts so that it stays and updates the widget

Hi,

I have tried changing the view count manually by editing the ad and entering it into the fields and clicking update but then it always goes back to the original count. It is also not changing in the Popular ads overall widget. How do I make the change permanent and have it reflected in the widget?

I would like to change the view count as an ad had an extreme amount of views and I believe it was from the poster of the ad trying to get their ad to the top of the widget.
