New registrations but no new ad placements!

I'm having a major problem where I'm getting new registrations but next to no ads placed. It's a FREE online classifieds so I'd expect plenty of new ad postings. When I was testing the site after installation I had a "cookies" error message when logging in to create my first ad.

After a new user registers they receive a welcome email with their login info. The first time I created an ad, I clicked on the link with the welcome email and used the username and password supplied. I got a login failure message which mentioned something to do with cookies.

I believe other new members are having the same problem. They can register without a problem but the site won't let them login to "post an ad".

Is anyone else having this problem? My site won't go anywhere until I can get this fixed. I'd appreciate if anyone could shed some light as to what the problem might be.
