Page refreshes when selecting browser uploader

I had a customer bring this issue to my attention. When she was placing an ad and selected the browser uploader the page refreshed and she had to start over.

I don't see a fix to this issue on the board yet

So, i would rather instead inform my customer that the page will refresh by adding this info:
**PLEASE NOTE** The browser window will refresh and you will need to reload your ad.

However, I have made this change within my child theme and it's not showing up.
classipress_child/framework/app-plupload/app-plupload.php

Can I make a change to this file via the child theme?
