How Do We Reinstate Previous Clipper Functionality?

In the latest version of Clipper theme, the code appears in a box with link to the merchant. I personally think that this is a very bad idea, as the whole point of the "Show Coupon", is that the user is cooked as soon as the click on the coupon. The cookie"ing" process is now a 2 step process as they don't get cooked until they click on the link on the pop-up(if they do end up clicking on that link at all!), increasing "commission leakage" in the process. Ideally you would want the merchant site to open on another tab(in the background) as soon as the click on "Show Coupon", whilst showing the coupon on the original tab. Failing which, what we had in the old Clipper theme is far better than what we have now.

Please can you tell us how to restore the old Clipper workflow? I.e. click on link, show code, new tab opens with merchant site, customer searches for old window to get the code.
This is second best because you want the browser to stay on the original tab with a new tab opening in background, but if we can't have that, the old way is still better than what we have now.
