    Question using yoast seo

    I have installed yoast seo and when I try to setup a Title and meta desc template for my stores the built in variables do not seem to work. Any text I enter in the title or desc template works fine but the variables %%title%% and %%excerpt%% do not pull any data. Any idea as to why?
