Archive page for custom post type not working as expected

Hi

I have created a custom post type of tutorials and added the functionality for all the required meta data. When I add a new tutorial, I am able to view the single tutorial no problem, however, when I try to access the archive page which should be at https://siteurl.com/tutorials it takes me to an archive page for the projects on the site. I think that there must be something special handling the routing that is making this so difficult to figure out. Can you please provide some explanation as to how I will go about utilizing the built in custom post type functionality as Wordpress makes it available because Hirebee has obviously modified it in some way.
