    Problem with setting home page

    I have tried several times to set a home page and continue to receive a message saying "not available for homepage". I am doing a static page that is titled the same as the web site. after i go to Appearance then Customize, i go to the homepage setting; i set the page as a home page. then when I go to my pages, i continue to see the not available. Am I doing something wrong or is there another problem?
