Job-types tags not working

If I choose a job type like "part-time" and go to the tag for the custom taxonomy type, it says there are no jobs or the page isn't found. When I look at the job types on the back end, it says there is one entry in "part-time" - which there is. I saw someone else say that he had to delete and recreate these and it worked - well it doesn't work for me and I found a couple of bugs with the custom taxonomy types in addition to this one -- if you delete a job type it stays in the database and cannot be purged. You should certainly be able to trash all entries you've deleted in custom taxonomies, regardless of the type or your database will grow and recreating another entry is a serious pain as you'll have to manually delete it from the database.
