Slow TTFB / 120-250 Queries per Page Slowing Site Down

Hello,

We are using the latest JobRoller version on an Apache. The issue is not with the server since we run other sites that are lightning fast. We are still setting up and are using a couple of dozen records as test data, and have a dozen pages in total. The test were ran after we optimized the database , and removed all revisions, etc..

With only JobRoller (no child theme, no plugins) the number of queries on the privacy policy page is 127 with total load time of 5+ seconds.
With child theme + 3 plugins the same page goes up to 162 queries with total load time of 9-10 seconds.

Looking at the queries, out of 127, there are about 40 that deal with transients and another 40 that repetitively check post ID numbers sequentially. This is the fastest page on the site with the number of queries jumping to 250+ elsewhere.

We ran speed tests on 15+ different JobRoller sites listed in the showcase pages here, and pretty much all of them have an excessively long TTFB (time to first byte). Even one site that loads in 1.5 seconds has a .5 second ttfb, while majority have ttfb of 2.5 to 4 seconds.

We took a look at the queries and googled for any issues regarding the slowest ones of the bunch and immediately ran into this post on this forum http://forums.appthemes.com/report-c...-needed-39622/

Since your demo site doesn't experience these problems (the only example we could find) please share how you went about solving the TTFB issue that are slowing us down.

We love the theme and hope that slow query optimization is a top priority for future updates, since Google is penalizing slow sites with excessive TTFB, and we are very concerned.
