Expired Listing Email - no "due to expire email"

I have just received the expired listing emails for a couple of test listings. Looks like I can choose the 'Free Trial' Listing again (which I don't want members to select since they have already received the free trial period). Secondly, when I click 'Continue' I have to re-select the categories and reload/type my information all over again. Thirdly, what happened to the email I was supposed to get to say my listing is due to expire? It literally just expired on the first email. This is the one and only email I received about the listing expiring:

Hello admin,

Your "Test listing" listing has expired (it is not visible to the public anymore).

Renew listing!

Please let me know if I need to change a setting in WP to stop members from re-selecting 'Free Trial'. Is there a feature where I can manage the 'due to expire email' so members actually get one? I am guessing that if I renewed the listing before it expired I wouldn't need to re-select the categories and fill in all the fields again? Yes? Thank you for looking into this.
