User Creating Unpublishable Listings

I have 4 users on my site Denver-bars.com and one of them has been creating a lot of listings but for some reason they just won't publish. He's tried publishing them through his admin account, I've tried publishing them through mine.. But they just always say that they are still pending and won't show up on the site. Why is this happening? They show up if you put the permalink in, for example http://denver-bars.com/listings/hansons-grill-tavern/ but if you look on the homepage they don't show up. Please help, this is incredibly frustrating.
