Thread: Why is the loading time so bad? I can't use this template as it is.

    Why is the loading time so bad? I can't use this template as it is.

    I should have run a speed test over this wordpress template before purchasing. As it is, it's unuseable - painfully slow.

    I've been a webmaster for 20 years, and never encountered a WP template this slow. 10 seconds to load a page (and I have the fastest connection you can buy)?

    Most people will have given up on the site by then. Anything over 5 seconds is abysmal:

    It is not my host. I have used them for a decade, and on a site I wrote in pure html years ago, it gives a speed score of 99/100. Other wordpress installs on the same server record quick load times.

    Unfortunately it looks like I've wasted $69 unless anyone has a solution to improve load times. Are there things I can turn off to make it faster?
