So just sparking this up again.

    • Should I get rid of the start page? Even though I feel it is good because it helps immediately inform the user of the benefits of signing up.
    • Any other "tips" to get this thing going? I know I need to include some Terms which I am working on now.

Well, why not use Google's Webmaster Tools and do an A/B test. That way you can have the existing front page served up for one set, and the traditional homepage served for another. Although, you should determine your test criteria beforehand: Are you judging success on avg. time on website, sign-ups, click-throughs, Applications etc.?

Well I've been noticing some strange activity. I have about 2 ppl sign up each day, but then they don't do anything! Sometimes a job lister, but more so a job seeker. But they don't make a resume or create a job.... Time on site is about 6 minutes on average which I am very happy with. Click throughs are good. Just the registration and following steps are lacking.

For Example: I have 30 users registered for my site. 7 resumes have been posted, and only 1 job. 3 of the accounts are mine.

Played around with adding a catching resume widget and also some more emphasize on who "Post Jobs" is for. Because of these, I may be able to get away from the static home page.... Then I guess I could take the benefits of each role and place that on the login/register page maybe?

So I wanted to get this thread up again because I have made a lot of changes since the last time I posted in this and I have been making "some" money from it.
