How is recurring payment working?

Hi,
I have a few questions concerning Recurring Payment to make sure I understand the process correctly.

1. Once recurring is set via Paypal, will the Listing renew automatically when the payment will be processed in Paypal ?
2. If the expiration date of the listing is modified, will this affect the recurring payment ? (we do not have control on the date which is set in Paypal)
3. As an administrator, will I have to activate the new Order ?
