Announcing "Citify Ultimate" – A plugin to Add City Sub-sites to ClassiPress

After some good reviews for our Statify Ultimate plugin, we are proud to launch our new plugin called Citify Ultimate which is like a city version of the Statify Ultimate plugin. Citify Ultimate will add city sub-sites to your ClassiPress site, and gives your visitors the choice to browse the ad listings only within their area. It is a must-have plugin and comes with a popup for city selection for first time users.

If you love ClassiPress, you will love it even more after having this plugin because you will be able to display listings in your ClassiPress website based on the user’s region. The ‘Cities’ menu (you can label it whatever) in the main navigation bar gets highlighted when a city is in the selected mode and everywhere from homepage, to ad category pages to the search results page only show local listings. If a user wants to see listings from the whole country, they can easily deselect the city from the dropdown under the highlighted city button.

Good work Moshin! I installed it, followed your instructions and Viola! Seems to be working just fine.
I changed my header name to "Filter by Town/City" which should make it easy to understand for the customer that is navigating.

See, we paid him hundreds of dollars to develop this for our site because it was something that was going to set our site apart from the others. Now, we see he is selling our project that we paid him hundreds of dollars to develop for our site.

We gave him our criteria and what we wanted for him to do. After he finished, it wasn't still right, we told him what was wrong, then he corrected it and everything worked to our specifications.

We gave your half upfront and other half when completed. Several days later, we see him selling our project to everyone in here and on his site.

Before purchasing this plugin, I would like some more info:

When a user has a city selected, then all queries to the database is "city" specific. In other words, only city specific results are returned thus speeding up the query?

Also, when a city has been selected, does this selection remain when posting ads, or does the user have to select his city again in the posting form?

1. That's right, all queries to the database are city specific.

2. No the selection does not stay when you go to the post ad page.

I see that you use cp_city as the database field. If the user account profile uses the cp_city custom field, then will the citify plugin automatically be selected with the the proper city selection?

Hi roald,

'cp_city' is a core ClassiPress field, which the plugin filters all the results by. I am not sure what you mean by user account profile using that field, but if you post more ads under a city, they will all show up when you select the city using the plugin.
