hi firestorm, have you ever done a mod so that when you search by a location, instead of showing search results, show the directory list to show all items and how many instead of search results? I'm looking for a craigslist type setup so for each location (city) it shows all the categories. thanks. Oh and of course i'll pay

New State/Province Options applicable to country

Ideally, I would love an automatic IP locator for the user's area using cookies. Not that they would necessarily be advertising from their own area, but it is a logical home.

If this is not possible, how can I

1. Get a list of states/provinces for every country on Earth
2. Make the relevant list appear after the country is selected (this is normal on most international websites)
3. Have the user select their location at signup.
4. Have the website remember the user's location / let them change it in their profile.

If this has already been done by somebody, I would live to just paste the relevant code into the file system of my website rather than use the slow administration control panel.
