    So my understanding is that if I apply the fix on pg41 of this thread it will work also with the latest version of classipress, correct?

    The plugin it is constantly renovated... this means if it needs a fix for new ClassiPress versions I post it here
    There are two versions: the FREE one simply providing your email address here for me to send you the plugin...
    or buy the PREMIUM one in this link at only $5 --> Featured Ads @ ClassiPress sidebar plugin (Premium Version)

    Good to know that there is a premium version. I like it even better!

    Two questions:

    - Is the only difference between the free version and the premium version that you can pause the latter one by placing the cursor on it and select an item from the list?

    - Is the premium version compatible with the latest version of classipress (I'm assuming so, but it never hurts to ask!)?

    Yes, it is compatible with the last ClassiPress version, and as I already explained before will be updated for the next versions too if necessary.
    Differences are that you can stop ads on hover (as you noted) but also you can include it more than once into your sidebars... the FREE version you can place it into your sidebars only once.
