Thread: FREE Auction Plugin for ClassiPress - Last Chance!

Nice Plugin !

I have one problem after activating the plugin , my permalinks structure gets changed and i am concerned about my ranking in Google as my old pages indexed will give no page found errors.

Is there any way i can keep the old permalink structure.

Thank you.. But i'm not sure that i understand your issue because the auction plugin does not change the permalink structure and it works with any structure.

Have you just now installed ClassiPress? Because ClassiPress change the structure and if that is your issue you should try the ClassiPress troubleshooting forum. But i belive there is no way around it, never tested anyway.

It does change the structure , As my permalink structure is /ad-category/category/sub-category/ after activating your plugin it becomes /ad_cat/category and there is no sub-category. Even in your Demo it shows the same structure.

Hmm, still wierd.. But lets try the following:

Go to auction settings and choose to use ClassiPress categories, save and save.
Then reset your permalink structure..

In the demo i use standard ClassiPress structure Post name/custom: /%postname%/
But i can set it to any structure..

As mention the plugin is not affected by any of the permalink structures.

It worked ! But had to change Classipress categories to No instead of Yes and then save and save,Now can i add categories manually ?

Hehe, well there was no longer any free plugin so it could ofcourse not be found But it could not be easier, scroll down or click any link on site and you'll face the purchase/download link

Ok that was interesting information which i has to look more into.
Yes you can add categories manually. If you use the beta import option be aware that you may have to manually add some of the grandchilds to their parents categories, an easy job from the auction category page.

Hi,I have register a account. Added the Free version in the cart, but no email is sent out.

If you see from the thread I post, I am looking for auction plugin that can 100% compatible with CP.

Thought of trying your Free version first then upgrade if it's better then Wpauctions.

How should I get that?

I got it from "My Purchase" history....will give it a spin first
