Make stylesheet in WP dash's template editor control style

I can't see any point in having the style.css file in the dashboard editor if it does nothing.
That's just annoying and frustrating, when you first try to do any customizing and see that nothing is happening.
Why make it so any customization has to be done with FTP?

At least make it so that you can paste the (your color choice).css style into the dashboard style.css and have choosing "default" on the Configuration make it work.

i agree, i'd like to be able to access/edit the style sheets (master.css, blue.css, etc) from WP admin...

I normally prefer doing FTP, but sometimes I use wifi at a local school and for some reason they are blocking FTP.
