    Charging for prettier permalinks

    Hi all,

    I'd like the ability to allow people to post an ad for free, but give them the option of paying a small fee for a prettier URL. An example for an ad's URL might be:

    http://www.example.com/?p=987wr9qufh

    But then they pay a small fee and get:

    http://www.example.com/buy-my-awesome-toaster

    ...or something like that. It does seem like it's all or nothing with these permalinks though. Any thoughts?
