    jQuery/Javascript in Text/HTML Widget?

    Is there any reason I cannot embed Javascript and/or jQuery code in a Text/HTML widget?

    And since this may be the wrong tree to bark at, what I actually want to do is add a jQuery datepicker to the page sidebar. Another way to ask is, is there a way to add custom widgets to the CP widgets list?
