Moved To New Site Now Got Major Plugin Problems

Hi Guys

I got a bloke on odesk to move my entire site to a URL.

It turned out to be about a 12 hour job and its still not how i want it.

When he first did the transfer we had major problems with broken links and missing images

We also had huge problems with dysfunctional plugins.

Anyway to cut a long story short. Most of it has been slowly fixed (at $10 per hour) but theres still big issues with plugins.

For example sticky on top i cannot activate as it was activated in the old site. But strangely its still working.
About 7 plugins we where running on the old site had to be deleted and replaced by other plugins.

The backup we used to do the swap was all files and database and plugins where still turned on.

What im wondering is there anyway to rectify this . The old site has already been taken down and deleted, but i do have backups of it.

I tried yesterday to put the old site back together, but it too had dysfunctional plugins so i stopped wasting my time.

The other thing im wondering is this. Presently i have 800 ads on my site. I want to know should i tear it down and start again and have workers replace the 800 ads. as going forward things like simple plugins wont work. Or should i persist with what i have and just try to manually have fixed the errors as the arise. To do the first would be around 8 hours work.

Or is there a way to extract the ad listings and thier images from the current database and plug them without the errors into a new database and a new fresh install???
