Question about deactivating?

I recently purchased a community event calendar for my site and it isn't working. The calendar developers told me to deactivate all my plugins and they said to deactivate the theme and activate twenty-twelve theme to see if it works. If it does, slowly reactivate everything that I deactivated and see which thing is causing the problem. My HUGE questions is... when I deactivate plugins and/or the theme, will I lose all of my settings? I would hate to have to go back through all of those and redo each of their settings.
