Problem with spanish translation

Good day. I want to translate my site to spanish, I have read all the documentation about this, I have downloaded the language package but I don´t understand what else to do, also I have made the folder as it is explained but I don´t know how to upload it, I am using godaddy as my hosting company and they have wordpress as an App, so I just click and installed wordpress (I didn´t use FileZilla to install wordpress). I was going to purchase WPML but they told me that it wasn´t necesary to purchase it because I only wanted my site in spanish (not multilingual) and they pass me the link to their pluggin and it translates all wordpress but it doesn´t translate the theme´s options. What can I do?
