Administrator Cannot Access Private Pages on Vantage - work around?

Hey guys, just stumbled across a problem on my site. Thought I'd come here to see if anyone has a solution for it.

We have 2 administrators, who often work simultaneously, helping each other to write pages and posts. An administrator needed to complete a page written by the other administrator which was published privately.

All the support for wordpress suggests that administrators have full access to everything on site, including private posts. This leads me to believe it is something to do with Vantage overriding the wordpress commands. Is there a simple setting I can change or another solution?
