Edit ad does not work?

Hi Everybody

I am using 3.0.4

The edit ad function does not work for posters. Posters can login and see all their ads at the Dashboard but when they click on the pencil icon (edit icon) next to an ad it give an error 404 page cannot be found?

Can anybody help me by explaining step by step what to do? I have searched the forum and found something about slugs being the issue but how does slugs connect to the edit ad option.

Hope someone can help it is of course critical that that posters can edit ads?
