Thread: Upgrading to 3.1.6 version

Upgrading to 3.1.6 version

Hi,

I am not seeing the auto upgrade information from Classipress 3.1.5 to to 3.1.6 in my WP. Therefore I took the following route to update Classipress on the server:

1. Downloaded the latest 3.1.6 version and copied all the files to the Classipress 3.1.5 directory on the server.
2. Changed the directory name from Classipress 3.1.5 to Classipress 3.1.6 on the server.

Though after following these steps I faced the following issues:

1. Some widgets were lost.
2. Lost footer information (this is understood)

I need to know whether these steps are correct and will not break down the theme. OR else kindly suggest the correct way to update the theme each time a new version is released.
