    Ready to Launch

I think I'm ready to go with my new site. I know it's the weekend but I would appreciate if anyone has a chance to log in and post a few dummy ads. I want to start posting up leaflets around town on monday or tuesday.
It has a launch blog and three classipress sites as sub-domains.
I managed to fix it so that each user needs only register once across the three sites, but I'm really nervous about launching it in case I've missed something stupid. You can never check your own work properly.
If you do get a chance to log in at any time, just put the word TEST before any listing. As it may clash with live users after monday.
I have done so many tweaks and changes that I just can't see objectively anymore.
ANY feedback would be much appreciated.

    Take a look at http://searchdarlington.co.uk

    Many thanks.

    it looks really sharp!
I love your landing page. Very clean.
Your search box white space seems a tad big (i use Chrome) and over-flows onto your graphic design background.

I dont have time to test at the moment but it looks great.

Eek, I don't have time (nor the inclination) to install Chrome so I can't see what you mean. There isn't a search box on the landing site so it must be on the classipress sites. That being the case, I haven't altered the search box, apart from the background graphic which is the same size.
Are you saying the search box is fine on the default theme but not on mine?
If so, I can't think why....

    Re: Ready to Launch

I just had a look at your site in Chrome and the search box looks the same as any other site to me?

You could try checking how it looks on other browsers here: http://browsershots.org/

    1. Your layout breaks in FireFox and Safari. Holds in Internet Explorer only. I am rather surprised that you did not check it in FF at least.

    2. Please don't take it personal, as we are all colleagues here. Try to hire a graphics person for Typography, Icons and all the 3D stuff. Otherwise for a professional look, keep it flat and simple.

    3. Your business idea is good. You have targeted a niche geographic area, and the domain name is relevant and appropriate for SEO.

    Good Luck!

I work in Firefox all the time, I have two different versions available and two of ie.
    Firefox is my default.
I've been messing about with the whole thing a lot today it's been in bits as I was trying to fix a css problem. That's probably what you saw. Everytime I try to launch it I find something else to do, it's like spinning plates.
And thanks for the comments, I largely agree only I'm on a shoestring.

Buddy thanks for trying, I'll check it again. I thought this thread was cold so I went under the hood again thinking no-one would notice.
