Help with relaunching site locally...

I was involved in a serious head on collision several years ago and now the effects are interfering with my memory and concentration. I would like to reinstall Wordpress and work on my updated Classified Ads template, without having to pay for hosting at this time. Is there anybody who can walk me through the process of how to go about doing this? I'm working on a MacBook Air laptop and am ready to proceed with relearning how to do this.

Hope this helps. Right now I'm working on my first wordpress site. Been at it for 3 weeks now, it's not locally installed and I'm using a PC, so I can't help any more than this. Try looking at a couple of the youtube videos and see if one explains the process to you better than the others and give it a try.
