    Do the widget always vanish when you uppgrade a new theme?

    Do the Widget always vanish when you update to a new theme? If i FTP over the old php files will they stay? This time i update from the theme and not from FTP and all widgets gone. I guess since i pick a "new" theme the 1.2.2 Clipper looks at it as a NEW one and not a update.


    I love to help out you out but please read this first Have you tried to install in a root domain? Have you tried to Resave permalinks? Have you tried to disable all plug in? Have you tried the default theme of Wordpress?

    I believe it works that way as the current widget setup is attached to the theme version. I have just tested it by changing through the FTP the theme from one version to another and the widget is saved according to the version they are setup.

    Not good, maybe needs a change? In woothemes i do not think this is an issue.
