Thread: Bump Ads plugin for Classipress (By Classipro)

Hi Antonio. I just saw you email, because I was going ahead and just buying your plugin anyways. I think it's alot easier if I take a look at it, so I can follow along. When I looked to see if I had already registered on your site from previous purchases, I read you email. With regards to ion the index.php file, this is correct Antonio. But it is just for the "Just Listed" Tab.

The featured ad option places the ad on top in only the category view of ads. This is the only place it does this. And of course throws your ad in the featured slider, if set up. Now back to your site for a buy of this plugin.

lol, I don't think 3-4 seconds difference is going to change much. But thanks. Here is a thread on how I find things out this quickly. I find working with direct files on my PC is even faster than using a local WP Server install. The less layers of software, the faster the processes. I currently use Intel chips, i3 quads, and only 6GB of RAM. But my bus controllers are great with 4MB cache. I'm going to order a bunch of PC's with i7's soon, because I can get them for dirt cheap. I do alot of video production, and this is why I use robust machines. So it makes a world of difference when compiling GB sized files. Her's the link for a entertaining read, lol.

What Did You Find Out In Your Testing?

Antonio, I bought two other plugins today listed here by another programmer. One in regards to your plugin, places the featured ad on top on category and on top of ALL 'Refined" Searches. I like that.

I'd like to know what you found out regarding above. Specifically, if featured ads are bumped up as well. And if non-featured ads are bumped up just below the last featured ad? I believe you were testing to see if your plugin reset the time duration of the ad as specified in an ad package. I'll eventually get around to this later this week, but would be interested in your findings Antonio.

***It should be easy to test by checking the date in the admin view in the backend on the specific ad bumped. And see if the expiry date has been changed, after the bump. If not, all good!

How would this work when already using the "Sticky On Top" plugin by Mohsin (sp?)??
it is a plug in that displays all featured ads at the top correctly with pagination. Would this work with no issues? Would it "bump" an regular ad to the top of the list, below featured ads?

I'm not sure how this plugin works because is from another developer. My guess is that bumped ads will remain below the featured ads, but I can't be sure without testing.
